Heritage Reproached! Evangelicals Publicly Denounce Adventists

The term revival implies that life is being lost, death is in process, the term reformation indicates that something is deformed or out of order. The Spirit of Prophecy indicates that the greatest and most urgent need of the church is revival and reformation.

Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend.—The Review and Herald, February 25, 1902. { LDE 189.3}

In order for reformation to occur we first have to ask for a heart of repentance, a contrite heart as the Psalmist David who begged God to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit. Why is that? Because any attempt to reform without this acknowledgement of such personal need is not being done by someone who recognizes their wrong, it would not be an enduring reformation. In the Testimonies we find the following quote:

“Every duty that calls for reform involves repentance, faith, and obedience. It means the uplifting of the soul to a new and nobler life. Thus every true reform has its place in the work of the third angel’s message." 6T 110.

Joel chapter 2 has critical instructions for God’s last day church verses 1-11 speaks of the second coming of the Lord and the signs that indicate them, then verses 12-17 has preparatory instructions such as prayer and repentance, then 18-27 speaks of the blessings and the deliverance that will attend the repentant and the fourth segment 28-32 shows that God will pour out His Spirit upon the faithful remnant.

The instruction that we will be focusing on is that found in Joel 2:17; “Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage unto Reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people where is their God?” This verse has intrinsic value when it comes to the call for revival and reformation. As previously stated every duty for reform involves repentance, faith and obedience and cannot be overlooked that is why Isaiah 58 instructs to cry aloud and spare not and show my people their sins and the house of Jacob their transgressions as the object is lead to repentance that the Spirit of God may be poured out upon his people, otherwise programs, sermons and prayer services will be but blank cheques that cannot be cashed at Heaven’s Bank. The church has been publicly rebuked by independent evangelicals who watched and observed members of their own fallen churches who belong to an umbrella Group; the Jamaica Council of Churches and Seventh Day Adventist’s promote the vaccination agenda of the Government on National TV. The Seventh-Day Adventist Church was mentioned on numerous ocassion at this public meeting, this has now brought God and the name of his institution into public disrepute, Non-Christians are now confused as to what Seventh-Day Adventists believe, and many who once considered Adventism favourably are now likely to turn to the evangelicals whom they see standing publicly with spinal fortitude against the urgings of the conscience by the government. After watching the clip and reading the comments the reader should be able to understand why Joel 2:17 would say: “…Spare thy people, give not thine heritage unto reproach.” What is this heritage that we aught to pray unto God to preserve? Who will it be preserved by? From answering these questions we will unfold some powerful truths that will give certainty to the steps of those whom God is working with. Let us Go Text by Text:

Who are those who are entitled to this heritage?

Ps 61:5 KJV establishes those who are entitled to God’s heritage: For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name. The name of God represents his Character as per Exodus 34:6 KJV and only those that appreciate His Character will reflect it to the World. To Emphasize the last part of verse 6, it says “…abundant in goodness and truth”, not lies and deception and the urging of the conscience by some leaders in the SDA church. Abundant in goodness means looking out for the brethren of the church in a time of need to protect them from being manipulated by authorities as in the case of refusing to help with the exemption letters.

Exodus 6:7-8 speaks of an heritage that was promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; men who feared the name of the Lord. “And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I [am] the LORD.” The earthly promised land should lead our eyes to the Heavenly Canaan that is promised to those that fear God. The Journey has always been from Egypt, the House of Bondage to Canaan the Land of the Free. Hebrews 11:9 KJV establishes this fact concerning Abraham even though he sojourned as a pilgrim on earth; “... he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” This will be the endeavor of all who seek for the heritage their object in the end is make it to the city of God not trying to prevent persecution by suppressing the truth and aligning themselves with the world to avoid ridicule.

Ps 119:111-112 KJV “Thy Testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of the heart . I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statues even unto the end.” Psalms 19:7 KJV adds that “….the testimony of the Lord is Sure making wise the simple.” We know that according to Revelation 12:17 that the remnant of her(Apostate Adventism) seed will have “…the testimony of Jesus” Revelation 19:10 goes on to back that up by saying “…. worship God for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy” The Spirit of Prophecy for our time comes through the bible and the Inspired writings of Ellen G White. For the mainstream Adventists and the Conference to throw the health instructions of the Spirit of Prophecy on the back burner and promote the governments health initiative is do insult to God. 2nd Chronicles 20:20 KJV “…. Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” Notice How the scripture ties believing the prophet with believing in God. Thereby If the Adventist Organization denies Christ by denying His inspired writings, what will Christ do in response? Luke 12:8-9 answers “Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God. “

Psalms 127:3-4 “Lo Children are an heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of the mighty man; so are the children of the youth.” Are you God’s Child? Are you being an Arrow in His hand in the midst of war against falsehood and rebellion? “… Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3-4KJV Notice that Humility, Conversion are requirements to be considered Gods Children and Children are an heritage of the Lord. Therefore those who are given pastoral care are to ensure that they carefully deal with the Lord's Heritage recognizing the tender sympathy that God has for them. they have to be children themselves hence they will not be converted leaders. The question is how are the present brethren responding to the truths presented? Are we humbling ourselves to it or rising up against it? If we rise up against the plain statements of the Spirit of Prophesy can we be considered His Children? Notice what the Matthew 18:6 goes on to say about those that hurt these little children.." But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a milstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." What strong language Christ employs to the offenders of his heritage.

Jeremiah 12:7KJV “ I have forsaken mine house, I have left mine heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. Mine heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest; it crieth out against me: therefore have I hated it.” The House of God is His church but when it falls short of the description given in 1 Tim 3:15 KJV “…that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” It is no longer His representative on Earth that is why Jesus leaving the temple in Matt 23:38 KJV stated “Behold your house is left unto you desolate” The refusal to accept Christ and His Word will lead to many who hold name only to be rejected and only those who live and profess the truth to be a apart of God’s Church. Remember the scripture says your body is the temple of the Lord therefore we aught to be a living temple for the indwelling of the Spirit of God. Upward Look 315 states that “only presence of God can constitute a church”. Therefore, if God leaves his professed people, where will he be found? Only among the small group that are working for the preservation of the heritage in its varied forms. Jeremiah 12:10 points out that many ”.…pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion underfoot….They made it desolate” So will you go to a desolate place? Or will you seek the place where the heritage is being preserved? So bad is the situation presently in the church that Isaiah 42:10 is being fulfilled before our very eyes “But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses; they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith restore”. Many churches are presently desolate and only a revival from God is able to make them a living church.

Isaiah 58:7-14 summarily pronounces a blessing on the faithful; those that will receive the Heritage of Jacob particularly vs 13 where it speaks of true Sabbath observance, Sabbath reform which the church needs is essential to receiving the Heritage. Now we can understand why the Sabbath will be the final test for Gods people but many are preparing themselves to deny the Sabbath by the present denial of the health message. How do we know this? In Ezekiel 8:16 KJV Church leaders had and will have their “…..backs toward the Temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the East.” The Spirit of Prophesy also shares that “The contest will be between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. Those who have yielded step by step to worldly demands, and conformed to worldly customs, will then yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. At that time the gold will be separated from the dross.... Many a star that we have admired for its brilliance will then go out in darkness.” Prophets and Kings page 188 If the reader is fooled by the varied programs of these rebellious brethren whether they be Medical Missionaries or Conference initiatives one needs to read carefully the next quote again. “The founders of this system would go into the cities, and do a wonderful work. The Sabbath of course, would be lightly regarded, as also the God who created it. Nothing would be allowed to stand in the way of the new movement. The leaders would teach that virtue is better than vice, but God being removed, they would place their dependence on human power, which, without God, is worthless. Their foundation would be built on the sand, and storm and tempest would sweep away the structure. { 1SM 204.2}

So when we see Medical Missionary Units as in the North Eastern Conference march on Sabbath with placards about stopping Domestic violence against women and Pastors marching on Sabbath for social justice you may best know that unless they repent, will not receive God’s Heritage; that promised land.

So God’s Heritage includes the Church, His Children, The Testimonies, and the promised Heavenly Land. The faithful will uplift these and will advocate the reforms amidst the deforms of the organization, the remnant will not be found entertaining compromise while claiming that God will bless slackness. Do not confuse God’s mercy as Him sanctioning slackness.

Thus, saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where [is] the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk [therein]. Jeremiah 6:16 KJV
